The heart of "Wildcat" undoubtedly lies with Maya Jenkins as Lily. She absolutely shines in this role, bringing a raw vulnerability and fierce determination to the character. You feel every ounce of Lily’s joy, fear, and frustration. Her performance is incredibly natural, making it easy to believe she’s genuinely interacting with a wild animal and carrying the weight of such a big secret. It’s a breakout performance that makes you instantly root for her.

Supporting her is veteran actor David Chen as Grandpa Joe, Lily’s stoic but loving grandfather. He provides a wonderful counterpoint to Lily’s youthful impulsiveness, embodying the wisdom and deep connection to the land that comes with age. Their dynamic feels incredibly authentic, evolving from gentle disagreement to a shared understanding that is really touching.
